Another Plainfield-Queen City Historic 5K Walk-Run for Life event is behind us. This year, with an anointing of rain showers, it was again a success. Although the rain deterred some, many came out and weathered the rain which was an affermation that this event is grounded and enduring.
With spectators and participates numbering close to 200, those who attended were not disappointed with the usual attributes in place of a certified USATF 5K course, free hotdogs, toasted bagels, vendors, good music, historic factoids, special guests, and more.
I thank God the forecast heavy rain did not occur and there were virtually no glitches. To all those who participated, sponsored, supported, and assisted in making the event happen, I send a sincere Thank You!
Our team will begin working on next years event within the next 6 weeks. It will be our 5th Annual and therefore we're looking for it to be bigger and better than ever.
